About the Inmagic ODBC Driver

Use the Inmagic® ODBC Driver for DB/Text® to develop custom or vertical applications that retrieve and manipulate data from Inmagic® DB/TextWorks® textbases. You can combine data from multiple textbases, combine data from DB/TextWorks with data from other databases, use third-party applications, or create your own DB/TextWorks features. You can also create Web-based applications, such as editing database records from a Web browser, or build Web applications using third-party Web development tools.

The ODBC Driver processes SQL statements and ODBC function calls against the DB/Text database engine. The ODBC Driver provides a way to obtain information from and write information to DB/TextWorks textbases. The textbases you plan to access can be anywhere accessible to the ODBC Driver.

There are two types of ODBC Drivers: a desktop version and a server version. If you purchased the desktop version, you can install it on a single computer. The desktop version supports no more than one connection at a time. If you purchased the server version, you can install it on a single server. The server version supports multiple, simultaneous connections.
