About
Inmagic Content Server
Inmagic® Content
Server is an enterprise-wide scalable content management system. It
combines the advantages of a robust and flexible database management
environment with high-speed search and categorization, making finding relevant
information fast, easy, and precise. Web publishing capabilities are built into
Inmagic Content Server, offering a better way to publish, access, and
maintain information on corporate intranets and the Internet.
The Content Server
product is built on industry standard architecture, incorporating Microsoft SQL
Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005 as its data store. Content Server makes
extensive use of open standards and technologies, the most obvious being
Extensible Markup Language (XML), which forms the basis for much of its Web
publishing functionality.
Content Server Components
The Content Server
product has the following components:
- CS/TextWorks. This is the Windows desktop component.
- CS/WebPublisher PRO. This component gives your organization the
ability to publish textbases on the Web. Anyone with a Web browser can
point to an HTML page and submit a query. The results are returned
dynamically, in forms that you design. You can also design an interface so
that you and/or your end users can add, edit, and delete records in a
textbase through the Web.
- CS/Importer. This component is a service that enables you to
load records into one or more textbases, while automatically and
continually processing imports in the background. You can import records
in Inmagic tagged, delimited ASCII, and XML formats. You can also import
documents (for example, Microsoft Word documents).
CS/TextWorks also provides
you with access to Inmagic.net™, which gives you the ability to connect to the Inmagic server from within a CS/TextWorks session to
accomplish various tasks related to acquiring, cataloging, indexing, and
disseminating information throughout an organization. For more information
about Inmagic.net, see the Content Server online help.
Content Server Configurations
The Content Server
product has the following configurations:
- Content Server Standard. This configuration supports an instance of Microsoft SQL Server
2000 or SQL Server 2005.
- Content Server Workgroup. This configuration supports an instance of Microsoft SQL Server
2005 Express Edition or Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine (MSDE). The
former is provided with your purchase of Content Server Workgroup.
The latter you must obtain yourself. Note also that the CS/TextWorks
desktop component of this configuration can be purchased separately,
without the CS/WebPublisher PRO Web publishing component.
What's New in this Version?
Each new and enhanced
feature for CS/TextWorks, and CS/WebPublisher
PRO, is discussed briefly here. For more information on a feature, see
the online help, unless otherwise noted.
CS/TextWorks
- Dead URL Link Checker. This new feature (available on the Tools menu
after you open a textbase) gives you the ability to check the status of a
URL link recorded in a textbase. Status information about the URL link
(for example, whether it is live, live but with errors reported, or dead)
is written to another field you designate in the same textbase. From the
information provided after running the Dead URL Link Checker, you may find
the need to make corrections to URL addresses or you may decide to delete
addresses that no longer work. For more information, see the "Dead
URL Link Checker" help topic.
- For scripting, FormatFlagXML
is now available for the ImportDescriptor and ExportDescriptor script objects. For more information, use the Find tab for the
online help and search for "FormatFlagXML".
- CS/TextWorks now
supports GIF files as a standard image type. You can view and manipulate GIF images just
like any other image format supported by CS/TextWorks. For more
information, see the "Supported Image File Formats" help topic.
- The CS/TextWorks Images window now supports PDF
files. You have the option of
viewing PDF files in the Images window rather than Adobe Reader. For more
information, see the "Supported Image File Formats" help topic.
- You can now browse and select files while
editing. With your mouse cursor
in an edit box, choose Edit>Browse Files to open the Open dialog
box.
- The full path can now appear for secondary
textbases on the Edit Textbase Structure dialog box. To see the full path of a secondary textbase,
position your mouse pointer over the secondary textbase name on the Link
Definition tab. The full path displays in the pop-up balloon text. For
more information, see the "Link Fields" help topic.
- Batch Modify has been enhanced. Batch Modify now supports special characters
such as line breaks and entry delimiters. You can also now add text to the
beginning or the end of an entry. For more information, see the
"Batch Modify Records in Set Dialog Box" help topic.
- You can now do the following through the General
tab of the Options dialog box (choose Tools>Options):
- Change the User File Path. See the "User options" section on
the tab.
- Save forms as Public by default. See the "Options" section on the
tab, which has a new Save new forms,
etc. in Textbase File (Public) by default check box.
- The "Finish" button replaces the
"Close" button on the Edit Fields dialog box.
- The DBTLabel.INI file now includes a label form
to print spine labels only. The
label form is equivalent to DemCo product code
P142-1802 and Gaylord LSL01. The .INI file is located in the main CS/TextWorks installation
folder.
- The product version number now appears in the
title bar. When applicable, the
service pack number appears also.
- Improved Content Server Administration
(InmCSAdmin.EXE) program. The
graphical user interface (GUI) has changed and been improved. Improvements
include the new Setup Wizard (choose Configure SQL Server>Setup
Wizard) that simplifies matters by guiding you through the process of
selecting your SQL Server instance, assigning user rights to SQL Server
(for Windows Authentication sites) or changing your SQL password (for SQL
Authentication sites), and creating/upgrading the control database.
Previously, they were separate tasks. For more information, see the
"Setup Wizard" help topic. Also, the Restore Textbase Options
dialog box has been simplified. In addition, you can now restore multiple
textbases instead of one at a time. For more information, see the Inmagic
Content Server Administrator's Guide or the "Restore Textbases
(Backup & Restore menu)" help topic.
- For Windows Authentication, a message now
displays when you add a user to a textbase but you have not yet assigned
the user a Content Server role membership. For Windows Authentication, the Content Server
Administration Program now displays a message when you assign a Content
Server role to a textbase on the Assign User Rights to Textbase dialog
box but that user has not yet been assigned rights to the SQL Server. To
assign a user to a role, choose Configure SQL Server>Manage
Security>Assign User Rights to Textbase.
- Changes for the Query Screen Designer:
- For the Query Box Properties dialog box, on the
HTML tab, the choices that appear for the Index box, use option
button are now listed in alphabetical order.
- When creating a textbase by copying another
textbase structure, validation and substitution lists are not copied if
both textbases are not residing on the same instance of SQL Server.
- Content Server Enterprise
configuration is no longer available.
If you have a Content Server
Enterprise
configuration, contact Inmagic Technical Support.
- The SQLCollation
parameter is now documented in "About the InmCSrv.INI file" help
topic.
- The FastLoadTempFilePath
parameter is now documented in "About the Inmagic.INI file" help
topic.
- Bar Code Generation application now available. This application is for new customers as well
as those on maintenance who do not have it. The BarCodes
textbase and Bar Code Generation query screen
let you create bar code numbers. Use the Bar Code Generation query screen
to specify a starting bar code number and the quantity of new numbers you
want to generate, print bar code labels, and mark bar code numbers as
printed. For more information, see the documentation provided with the
application. To download the Bar Code Generation application, go to the
Inmagic Customer Extranet at http://support.inmagic.com/downloads/extranet.html,
select the Product Downloads link, then select Content Server
from the Platform drop-down list, select the product from the
drop-down list, and enter your serial number and password (which should
have been supplied to you when you received your Content Server
product), then click the Submit button. Click the Download Bar
Code Application link and open or save the .EXE file that contains the
BarCodes textbase
and instructions.
- Textbase collation information now included in
the Textbase Information window. To open this window, open a textbase, then
choose Display>Textbase Information.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition now
default database for Content Server Workgroup configuration. Starting with Content Server version
9.00, for the Workgroup configuration, we are providing SQL Server 2005
Express Edition with the configuration distribution. Microsoft SQL Server
Desktop Edition (MSDE) will still be supported in Content Server
version 9.00, but MSDE will not be available from or distributed by
Inmagic. You can use Content Server version 9.00 Workgroup with
either SQL Server Express or MSDE. Instructions for upgrading MSDE to SQL
Server Express are provided in the Inmagic SQL Server Express installation
notes.
- Content Server version 9.00 Standard
configuration now supports Microsoft SQL Server 2005. This configuration also continues to support
Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
- The
Import Options dialog box for Import Document now includes Image fields in the "Field
for file name" list.
- Export
Query Screen to HTML, Export Editing Form to HTML, and Export Menu Screen
to HTML now include the
textbase element name in a comment at the top of the HTML source. This
will make it easier to determine later, for example, which textbase query
screen was exported to create the HTML file.
- About
this Computer System now
includes the paths for inmcsrv.exe, inmagic.ini & inmcsrv.ini.
- Manage Textbase Elements. On the Import/Export File dialog boxes, the
entries in the "Files of type" drop-down lists now all begin
with the word "Exported".
- Content Server Administration program.
- The title bar now indicates whether you're
running the copy in the CS/TextWorks installation folder or the CS/WebPublisher PRO
folder.
- The install kit now creates shortcuts for both
the CS/TextWorks copy and the CS/WebPublisher
PRO copy.
- The CS/WebPublisher
PRO copy reads the INMCSRV.INI file in the install folder.
Previous versions read the INMCSRV.INI file in the EXEC subfolder.
- Select SQL Instance dialog box.
- A Browse button has been implemented.
- Shows the currently-selected SQL instance.
- Puts the cursor at the end of the machine name
if you press a period to automatically fill in the machine name.
- Displays a message if the selection is
successful.
- The menu option changes from Select SQL
Instance to Change SQL Instance once a SQL instance has been specified.
- Create Control Database is disabled until a SQL
instance has been selected.
- The Hint text on the Assign User Rights to SQL
Server dialog box has been reworded to be clearer.
- For Windows Authentication, Restore Textbases
now displays a message at the end, reminding you to use Assign User
Rights to Textbases.
- For Windows Authentication, the Assign User
Rights to Textbase dialog box now displays a
message when you assign a Content Server role to a textbase,
but that user has not yet been assigned rights to the SQL Server. To
assign a user to a role, choose Configure
SQL Server>Manage Security>Assign User Rights to Textbase.
- For SQL Authentication, the change SQL Password
dialog box now encrypts the password.
- You can now use SMS to do Setup Workstation. See the Installation Notes document for new and
upgrade installations.
- The Installation Notes document for new and
upgrade installations has been reformatted. This document now prints in full-page portrait
orientation with document identification in the footer. A listing of the
major sections in the document is now provided on the first page.
- For Content Server Standard, the installation
now permits you to select either Windows or SQL Authentication during the
install process.
- The Check for Service Packs option is
selected by default.
- The Check for Service Packs, Display
XML Schema, and other check boxes now launch the documents. Previous
versions launched the main Customer Extranet page.
CS/WebPublisher PRO
- CS/WebPublisher
PRO operates only with .NET Framework version 1.1. While .NET
Framework version 1.1 can co-exist with .NET Framework version 2.0, the
product does not run using the .NET Framework version 2.0.
- Index
Browsing on the Web. An additional method to browse indexes on the
Web has been added. The Inmagic Choices Browser lets users browse and
paste entries from field indexes. This feature does not require Java and
serves as an alternative to the Word Wheel, which does require Java. The
Inmagic Choices Browser can be accessed by a link or button, as specified
by the designer of the Web query screen. During the CS/WebPublisher
PRO installation process, Setup creates the InmagicBrowse
virtual directory required for this feature.
Note: The HTML tab of the Query Box
Properties dialog box was redesigned to accommodate the Inmagic Choices Browser
feature.
- XML
tutorial for CS/WebPublisher PRO now available. See
Knowledgebase article 2772.
- "Help"
button added to Inmagic Choices Browser.
- You can
now change the label text for the "Browse Choices" button. In the
Inmagic.INI file, see the [WebPublisher] section and the BrowseChoicesText parameter. This Inmagic.INI file is
located your user file path. For more information, see the "About the
INMAGIC.INI file" help topic.
- You can
now configure the InmagicBrowse application. In the <appSettings> section of the Web.CONFIG
file, which is located in the InmagicBrowse
subfolder within the main CS/WebPublisher PRO installation folder,
to configure:
- The
"leading article" character (Alt+0160), edit the
value for the SpaceSubst element.
- The
number of keys displayed in the InmagicBrowse
list, edit the value for the NumKeys
element.
- Whether InmagicBrowse wraps long terms or not, edit the
value for the WrapKeys element.
For more
information, see the "About InmagicBrowse"
help topic.
- The
following is now available for XML input:
- You can
now return information from secondary fields using the <KeyField> element in a query. For more
information, see the "<MatchFields>
and <KeyFields>" help topic.
- You can
now specify that a query set be sorted by a secondary field using the
<SortField> element. For more
information, see the "Sorting Records Returned by an XML Query"
help topic.
- Batch
Modify is now available through the XML API. For more
information, see the XML tutorial (Knowledgebase article 2772).
- The textbase name is now emitted with the XML schema.
- A new XM=2 parameter specifies
that XML output should include the query detail.
- You can
now browse the associated field for Link fields while editing. For more
information, see the "Browsing Link Fields while Editing a
Record" help topic.
- Browsing
long validation lists is now much faster. There is
added support for paging the validation list (as we offer when browsing
the index during searching).
- The
product now supports exploded sorts. Add or edit
the WebAllowExplode parameter in the
[WebPublisher] section of the ICSWeb.INI file, which is located in the CS/WebPublisher
PRO installation folder on the Web server. Note that you must restart
IIS (the World Wide Web Publishing Service) any time you make any changes
to this parameter in the ICSWeb.INI file. You can use the Services option
through the Windows Computer Management window to restart IIS. For more
information, see the "Allowing Exploded Sorts on the Web" help
topic.
- The
"Add" button replaces the "Select" button on the
Inmagic Choices Browser. A Replace All button also appears when
browsing terms from a validation list.
- Check Box
Form Web application (part of Web Forms Library) now available. This
application is for new customers as well as those on maintenance who have
not received this application. Use the Inmagic Check Box Form Web
application to create an online search form that allows end users to
search your textbase, and a summary form with check boxes that allows end
users to request citations. For more information, see the documentation
provided with the application. To download the Check Box Form Web
application for the Web Forms Library, the Inmagic Customer Extranet at http://support.inmagic.com/downloads/extranet.html,
select the Product Downloads link, then select Content Server
from the Platform drop-down list, select the product from the
drop-down list, and enter your serial number and password (which should
have been supplied to you when you received your Content Server
product), then click the Submit button. Click the Download Web
Forms Library link and open or save the ZIP file that contains the
application. Read the installation notes document included in the ZIP file
before you install the application.
- The Cars sample textbase now resides on
the top level of the installation CD-ROM/download. This improvement makes installing the textbase
simpler in a configuration that involves a firewall. The Cars
textbase is still included within the installation process.
- Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 must be
installed before you can install the CS/WebPublisher PRO software. The installation program will not proceed if it
does not detect that .NET Framework version 1.1 is already on the machine
on which you are trying to install the CS/WebPublisher PRO
software.
- Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 must be
installed before you can install the CS/WebPublisher PRO software. The installation program will not proceed if it
does not detect that Internet Explorer version 6.0 is already on the
machine on which you are trying to install the CS/WebPublisher PRO
software.
- CS/WebPublisher
PRO now always reads the
SQL instance name from the INMCSRV.INI file. Previous versions read the SQL instance name
from the textbase structure file (.CBS) unless the UsingFirewall=1
option was set in INMCSRV.INI. UsingFirewall is
now obsolete.
- The
install kit now includes an HTML query screen (CARSQSB.HTM) for use with the sample CARS
textbase that uses the Inmagic Choices Browser.
- The
wording of the old "internal errors" has been changed to include more information for diagnostics
purposes. The messages now begin with "Operation failed..."
- CS/WebPublisher PRO virtual directory,
ics-wpd, is now created automatically for new
installations.
Issues Resolved
Content Server version 9.00 addressed the following issues. The
applicable Inmagic Software Problem Report (SPR) number follows each item
listed.
CS/TextWorks
- Improved
Thumbnail functionality. Previously, if you chose Images>Thumbnail
and the image(s) had no image annotations, the "There is a problem
processing the image annotation." error message would display. This
no longer happens. [8582]
- Improved
Image Annotation functionality:
- The
Annotation Properties dialog box now retains changes to the Line style
drop-down list. [8385]
- The
scroll bars in the Images and Image Annotation windows now take annotations
off the bottom or right edge of the image into account. If you add new
annotation objects off the bottom or right edge of the window, the scroll
bars and the Fit to Window function now take the new objects into
account. [845, 8434]
- If
you choose "Print" when the Image Annotation window is active,
you are prompted to save any unsaved changes first. Earlier versions
simply printed the previous version of the annotation, if any. [8518]
- The
Image Annotation list now supports entries up to 250 characters.
Previously, the Image Annotation list truncated entries as they
approached approximately 100 characters in length. [888]
- The
image annotations count on the Manage Image Annotations dialog box is now
accurate. Previously, the count used an estimate, so sometimes it was
larger than the actual number of annotations. [1036]
- Improved
Textbase Log File functionality:
- The
message for the textbase log file for records that violate Require
Strictly Correct Type on Link fields no longer displays the desktop-only
"Do you want to browse the link terms list?" question. [8005]
- Messages
for the textbase log file now show the correct identifying field contents
for records that were not changed because they were locked by another
user or write-protected by record level security. Previous versions
showed the identifying field contents for the last successfully-modified
record. [8635]
- Selecting
identifying fields now works correctly on the Textbase Log File dialog
box in Edit Textbase Structure. [2869, 8446]
- The
textbase log file now records the login name
and machine name of the individual who modified the structure through the
Edit Textbase Structure function. [8639]
- Print
Definition for a query screen now includes the location of the Web
navigational controls (Next/Previous buttons, and so forth).
[8439]
- Printed
menu screen definitions now have a blank line between the header
information (form name, and so forth) and the first box, for improved
readability. [8451]
- Creating
a new textbase using the Copy an Existing Inmagic Textbase Structure
option button could result in an empty validation list if the first entry
in a validation list in the source textbase consisted simply of a carriage
return. The only way to get an entry like this into a
validation list is to use Accept & Update List on the Content
Validation Mismatch dialog box. [8536]
- The
Deskew function now affects the Print Current
Image option. Note that since the Deskew
function only applies to the current image, it does not affect the Print
Images in Current Record or the Print Images in Current Set
option on the Select Images to Print dialog box. [8575]
- The
following problem does not happen now: If a report form included script buttons
that were not anchored to a normal form box, when you used the mouse
scroll wheel to scroll down in the report, the report appeared blank after
the first record. [8585]
- New
SNBDDM.DLL file from Snowbound Corporation corrects problem with SNBD11DM.DLL.
Prior to this fix, for some JPEG images, Show Record Images would display
white or black bars across the image. [8704]
- CS/TextWorks
no longer fails in the following situations:
- If
you use the Print Reports for Refreshed Sets check box on the Refresh
Sets dialog box. CS/TextWorks now displays the Print dialog box. [8736]
- If
you select Print Preview when no textbase is open and no menu
screen is selected. [8745]
- When
you click the Print button on the Command Query window. [106]
- When
you interrupt a sort. CS/TextWorks now also does not exit when you
interrupt a sort. [125]
- When
you copy and paste a very large text file into a field. [977]
- CS/TextWorks
XML Import now supports field names beginning with a digit or hyphen.
Previously, it would either crash or display an error depending on whether
the field was included in the XML import file. [114]
- If
you attempt to save an image annotation file whose name exceeds 127
characters, you receive a message indicating the problem is the length of
the file name. The limitation is in the third-party Snowbound
Image Annotation library. Previous versions displayed only the "There
is a problem processing the image (error code 5362396)." message.
[326]
- The
"You must add at least one field to the ‘Fields to be Exported’ list." message now appears only when
appropriate. In the following situation, the message no
longer appears: On the Fields to Export tab of the Export Options dialog
box, if you selected the Export Subset of Fields option button then
selected the Export All Fields option button again. [332]
- The
Edit Substitution List dialog box now detects and prohibits duplicate
codes (the text before the colon).
Previous versions would allow you to add, for example, both QA:Software Testing and QA:Quality Assurance. [763]
- The
Print and Export options on the Manage Textbase Elements dialog box and
the Print Definition option in the Form Designer now include the
"starting page number" setting.
[1052, 1060]
- The
log file better describes the status of skipped records that were not
successfully modified. Previously, the log file showed the incorrect
identifying field contents for skipped records that were not successfully
modified. [2869]
- The
Send Report As Mail completion message now
displays the correct message for sent messages when using SMTP.
Previously, it said that two messages were sent while only one was. [2994]
- Problem
fixed where Batch Modify could discard changes made using deferred
indexing if the "Show deferred changes in reports and display"
option was cleared and you used Batch Modify on the same field that had
deferred updates. [3084]
- The
Send Report as Mail function now correctly reports the count of messages
not sent. Previously, the count did not include the
number of messages not sent if there were no e-mail addresses in records.
[3127]
- Typographical
error on Send Mail Operation Status dialog box corrected.
"Message not sent." now reads correctly as "Messages not
sent." [3128]
- Fixed
problem where XML Import could GPF if used with a transform that emits
empty fields. [3174]
- New Textbase now displays an hourglass while it
creates the SQL database. [313]
- File dialogs now consistently use
"CS/TextWorks Textbases (*.cba)" in
the "Files of type" drop-down list. [376]
- The selectMenuScreenEx() script command no longer heeds the menu screen
extension. In previous
releases, this caused problems for users upgrading menu screens from
DB/TextWorks to Content Server.
[514]
- Batch Delete completion & textbase log file
messages no longer mention "deferred indexing". [573]
- Batch Modify no longer modifies records locked
by another user when the textbase has an Access Control field. [3690]
- On the Edit Validation List dialog box, Clear
All now behaves properly for Code fields. [680]
- When modifying a field with a validation list,
if the new entry does not appear in the validation list, the "Accept
& Update" button on the Content Validation Mismatch dialog box is
now disabled if the user does not have at least the Content Server
Textbase Writer role on the textbase. Only Textbase Writers can update validation lists. Previous
versions would display a SQL error when users clicked the button. [827]
o
The Available
Buttons list no longer lists the obsolete Get Data button. [842]
o
The Available
Buttons list for the Main toolbar now includes How to Use Help. [843]
- The About CS/TextWorks toolbar button no longer
uses the DB/TextWorks icon. [3688]
- Open Textbase now displays the correct message if
the logged-in user has a Content Server role of None.
Previous versions displayed
"The Content Server installation for textbase 'tbname'
is out of date and needs to be updated." even though the textbase was
really up-to-date. [1217]
- You can now use Import Document multiple times
during a session to import PDF files. Previous versions would exit the software the second time you used
Import Document to import a PDF file. [1236]
- The Edit
Validation Lists and Edit Substitution Lists dialog boxes now behave
properly when the "Sort textbase field lists alphabetically"
option is selected. [1309]
- Addressed a scripting issue with newSortDescriptor() when a newRecordset only
retrieved a single record. [1369]
- When using the Editing Choices Browser to insert
entries from an associated field index into a Link field, the software
adds a period after the word "A" at the beginning of the added
entry to ensure that the link will be valid. [2990, 3679]
- Addressed an issue when modifying records that
stripped out a backslash followed by a carriage return in the field
contents. [3646]
- The Configure option in Setup Workstation now
modifies the INMCSRV.INI file. Previous
versions modified the DBTEXT.INI file. [1382]
- Addressed issues with specific Swedish
collations that prevented New Textbase from working. [2921]
- Installation. The Spell Check Help file (SSCE.HLP) is now installed. [2855]
CS/WebPublisher PRO
- If you paste a term from a validation list and
click the "Submit Record" button, then get an error message,
when you click "OK" on the message page, the CS/WebPublisher
PRO edit page now shows your changes. Previously, the edit page did not include your
changes. [8449]
- Problems with insufficient rights to the QSets directory now display a message. In previous releases, they could cut off the
top of the report. [8471]
- Width information is no longer included in
<div> statements for box labels. This resolves an issue with some box labels that would wrap onto a
second line. [8482]
- XML input, AC=”update” with matchFound=”deleteRecord” now prevents deletion if the specified
password does not provide Full access to all fields. [8484]
- CS/WebPublisher PRO now supports the
"inm" namespace in XML input. [8495]
For
example:
<?xml
version="1.0" ?>
<inm:Query xmlns:inm="http://www.inmagic.com/webpublisher/query">
<inm:QY>findall</inm:QY>
<inm:AC>query</inm:AC>
<inm:TN>cars</inm:TN>
</inm:Query>
- With SOAPFormat=1,
searches that return no records no longer return an error; they return an
empty record set. [8496]
- The Back (<), Rewind (<<), and Close
buttons now appear on report and expanded display pages when appropriate. Previously, these buttons sometimes did not
appear if the form drop-down list was not shown. [8497]
- Fixed Text content items treated as Raw HTML and
containing more than 20 lines now work as expected. Previously, the box content was truncated at 20
lines and was not treated as Raw HTML. [8502]
- For XML output, the text inside the [CDATA] tag
no longer encodes XML-significant characters (for example, ampersand),
except in the BU= parameter.
[8505]
- The "Submit Record" and/or
"Delete" buttons now reliably appear if the edit form drop-down
list is not shown on new record/delete record pages. Previously, the buttons would not appear on the
new record/delete record pages in certain circumstances. [8533]
- "Unknown field name" no longer appears
when you use a validation list link or save a record using a Web edit form
created using Export Editing Form to HTML, if the ICSWeb.INI file contains
SOAPFieldNameFormat=1 (now SOAPFormat=1)
and a field name contains a space or hyphen or begins with a digit. For more information, see the CS/TextWorks
online help. [8579]
- The "Unknown
field name" error message no longer appears on a CS/WebPublisher
PRO edit screen when you click the "Submit Record" button if
any field name contains 20 characters and begins with a digit. [8586]
- Different fonts for different content items now
work in CS/WebPublisher PRO. In version 1.3, the font class for the first content item was

Export Query Screen to HTML now work reliably. Previously, query screen file names containing

message from appearing when appropriate. [8606]
- The current version displays the
"Insufficient server resources to process your request—field data in
record too large (<number of bytes> bytes)." message if a
single entry exceeds 128K characters. Previously, CS/WebPublisher PRO edit
screens displayed the "The disk is full" Runtime error message
or other errors when you clicked the Submit Record (or the Delete
button) if the record contained extremely large field contents (for
example, greater than 100,000 characters). [8618]
- The 1-pixel horizontal rule that appeared if you
used WebHideINM=1 to hide the Inmagic
attribution line has been replaced with a 0-pixel horizontal rule so that

- The "You cannot delete records because your
password does not have full access to all fields in the textbase. At least
one field is protected (hidden or read-only)." message now only
appears when appropriate.
